To stimulate life, leaving it then free to develop, to unfold,- herein lies the first task of the educator.
The Cardinal Montessori School sits on over an acre of property with a large wooded fenced-in recreational area which offers a variety of play equipment in an attractive outdoor setting. Several large 80 year old+ Oak trees offer shade in the late spring and summer and plenty of leaf fun in the fall.
The Building is approximately 5,000 square-feet that has three primary classrooms, one lower-elementary classroom; grades one through three, and one upper-elementary classroom; grades four through six.
Over a hundred and twenty students attend the school which is rated by the Virginia Department of Social Services for an occupancy of 198. These children represent many cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds. Most of our students live within a thirty mile radius of the school.
The reason behind many parent’s decision to send their child to Cardinal Montessori School is their desire for a high-quality education founded on the principles of the Maria Montessori Teaching Method. The Cardinal Montessori School welcomes children of any race, religion, nationality, and ethnic origin.
